A lot of people go for “health screenings” for cancer, cholesterol, blood pressure, etc, but most of these can only tell you that you have those conditions after you have contracted them.
Is there any health screening that is preventative in nature, one that can tell you if you’re going to suffer any of these ailments before hand?
While there is no magical crystal ball available that can do predict your future, I do know of a machine that can accurate give you a health status check-up that can give you more information on preventing the major and chronic health challenges that many of us fall prey to.
This machine is called the Maximan HT2002 Human Body Qi-Meter, or more simply, the Qi meter machine.
The following write-up is reproduced by kind courtesy of my friend and business partner, Lim Eng Hai:
“For the benefit of whoever wants to have their health evaluated and monitored by this wonderful machine.
The Qi machine embodies the wisdoms underlying Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupunture, German technological prowess and Malaysian mass-production capabilities.
By taking readings at various corresponding acupressure points on the hands and feet, the Qi-Meter measures the “Qi” or energy levels or vibrations around 12 vital organs in the body.
The 12 organs are the lungs, vascular system, heart, small intestine, endocrine (immune) system, big intestine, spleen, liver, kidney, bladder, gallbladder, and stomach.
The readings take only a few minutes.
With a computer and a printer, the readings can be immediately translated into a chart, providing a tangible reference point for an in-depth health and lifestyle review and highly-personalized consultations.
At a glance, we can tell if someone’s health is close to the optimal band or not, and if not, whether the body in general or certain organs are in a state of inflammation (otherwise referred to as heaty, stressed up, highly acidic, working too hard) or in a state of degeneration (weakened, dysfunctional, or approaching such a condition). The chart may also show up side-effects of medication on certain vital organs, if any.
The consultations, given by a trained consultant, will cover a review of appropriate lifestyle changes that need to be made, touching on five major areas that make up the concept of S.E.E.D.S. of Life - Sleeping habits, Eating habits, Exercise, Drinking lots of good water, and Supplementation.
The consultations will also point to nutritional strategies that can help restore the health of specific organs that require special attention, and bring the body as a whole to a state of optimal health.
A comprehensive follow-up is highly recommended to monitor changes in response to action taken on specific recommendations. In this manner, we are able to provide a measurable health & nutrition programme, where we can diagnose health issues, monitor improvements or the lack of it, and determine the efficacy of nutritional strategies that are recommended.
The check-up is comprehensive yet non-invasive (no injections), completely painless (no blood is drawn), and fuss-free (test plus consultation usually take 20 minutes).
The conclusions that one gets from this check-up may vary from conventional medical check-ups or blood tests, as the Qi-meter health check is capable of uncovering health issues at very early stages. For example, stress in the intestines or kidney or weakness in the liver exposed by the Qi chart may not be immediately confirmed by conventional medical tests. So, it will be helpful to regard the Qi-meter health check as “preventative health screening”.
We normally charge a nominal S$10 for every Qi test, to defray the cost of the investment and partially compensate for the time and effort involved in the test and consultations.
You are encouraged to freely share with your friends about the availability of this “preventative health screening” service.
Be blessed, be well, be happy!”
I hope the above description gives a good idea of how a Qi meter Preventative Health Screening can help you get a better insight into your own health.
We will be offering these Qi meter readings every Saturday between 11am and 3pm at the Unicity office in Toa Payoh, Singapore.
